Walter "Jerry" Tenner. Born February 6, 1941. Passed away December 29, 1994.

From the San Bernardino County Sun newspaper: Walter "Jerry" Tenner, 53, of Rialto died Thursday at home. The cause of death is unknown, pending a doctor's report. Tenner, a native of Pittsburg, PA., lived in Rialto 10 years. He was the owner of Wally's Motors in Rialto. He served in the Navy and was a member of Loveland Church in Fontana. Survivors include his wife, Louise; his son, Marc of Rialto; three daughters, Kelly of Anaheim, Tammy of Anaheim Hills, and La Sonja Beasley of Rialto; his brother, Gregg of Spokane, Wash.; his sister, Joyce Braun of San Bruno; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McNearney Family Mortuary, 130 S. Willow Ave., Rialto. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McNearney Family Mortuary. Interment will be private.

Obituary: Walter "Jerry" Tenner was born February 6, 1941 to Walter S. and Helene G. Tenner in Pittsburgh, PA. From an early age he showed signed of his lifelong, out-going, likeable and loving personality. He graduated from San Juan High School in Citrus Heights where his enduring interest in cars began. he then joined the navy where he served as a signalman during the Cuban Crisis. During the 60's, when his daughter Kelly was born, he worked in the aerospace industry and attended American Rover Junior College in Sacramento. He later received an AA degree. In the 70's his son marc and daughter Tammy were born in Southern California, where he become successful in the insurance industry. he was also active in many civic and charitable groups including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the American Diabetes Association and a past president of Cosmopolitans. In the mid 80's Jerry started Wally Motors in lifelong dream of opening his own 55,56,57 Chevy business. In 1987, he married the love of his life, Louise Adams and became step-father to Leon and LaSonja. He was a loving member of Louise's entire family in addition to his unending love for his three children. He was a devoted family man who spent much of his time with his wife and children. In the early 90's he became a member of Loveland Church of Fontana. Jerry leaves his wife, Louise; son Marc; daughters, Kelly and Tammy; Step-daughter LaSonja Beasley; granddaughter Alexis; grandsons Leon, Jr. Deante and Lamarr; brother, Gregg Tenner; sister Joyce Braun; and a host of relatives and friends.
