Lorraine Boyce Smith, wife of Lt. Col. Jack D. Smith. Born November 11, 1926 in Framingham, MA, passed away March 31, 2013.

Obituary: Lorraine Boyce Smith age 86 entered eternal like on Easter Sunday March 31, 2013 at home in Corona, CA. Born in Framingham, MA 11/22/26 the only child on Gorden and Josephine Boyce, she graduated from high school in Quincy, MA then headed to California where she began her 35 year Civil Service career with the Air Force. In retirement Lorraine was married to Jack D. Smith and made her home for 25 years in Rialto, California. The 7 grown children of Jack and his first wife Valerie (deceased) have her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren for which she become Grandma 'Rain and Gigi. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Jack D. Smith, and three step-children; Jacqueline Ayars, William Smith and Jeanette Puglizevich. She is survived by 4 stepchildren: Valerie Smith of Bristol, TN; Daniel Smith of Wasilla, AK; Bernadette Fish of Corona, CA; Christina Sherman of Chugiak, AK. 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Lorraine and her husband loved to entertain friends, traveled across America and Europe but her fondest memory was her trip to the Holy Land in 1983 with Pastor Robb Zinn of Immanuel Baptist Church where she was a member for over 30 years. Lorraine prized her classed T-Bird and enjoyed the friendships she made in the T-Bird Club. Many of jack and Lorraine's travels included surprise visits to the children and grandchildren. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed making clothes for those she loved. The family would like to thank the staff at Corona Regional Hospital, Palm Terrace Rehab Center, Corona Regional Hospice and Home Instead Senior Care for the care, love respect and compassion Lorraine received in the last 6 months. Memorial Services and interment will be at Montecito memorial park 3520 East Washington Street, Colton, CA 92324. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Friday April 5th. Memorial Service Saturday April 6th at 10 a.m.
