Following the fatal shooting of San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Nunez on October 27, 2025, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Publicly released his badge number as a tribute to honor his sacrifice.

Deputy Nunez was a six-year veteran of the San Bernardino County Sherrif’s Department and was killed while responding to a domestic violence call in Rancho Cucamonga. He leaves behind a wife, who is pregnant with their second child, and a 2-year-old daughter. Governor Gavin Newsom ordered flags at the State Capitol to be flown at half-staff in honor of Officer Nunez.
