Howard M. Haig. Born July 13, 1941. Passed away January 9, 2009.

Howard was a framing contractor located in Beaumont.
Howard and John both used the same lumber take off person.
Bob (Robert) Simmons who lived in Roseville CA.

"Howard called me (John) back in the eighties to say he was going to be bidding a job for Pennhill in the abandoned oil fields in Yorba Linda. I told Howard I would give him a copy of the lumber list that I had paid Bob to prepared for me. I also shared with Howard that I was told I was going to do the job. Well Howard beat me by $43,000 on a $1.5 million dollar job (.028%). So, by helping Howard it cost me $43,000."

From the Record Gazette: Howard M. Haig, 67, passed away Jan. 9, 2009, while vacationing in Florida. Howard was born July 13, 1941 in Terre Haute, Indiana. He resided in Redlands, and also was a former resident of Banning. Howard lived his life to the fullest, from serving in Vietnam to base-jumping off the tallest waterfall in the world.
As a successful businessman, he followed his motto of “work hard, play hard.” He was known for his unique sense of humor and role as a mentor. His legacy of courage and kindness will live on through the many people he touched. His two sons, Todd and Michael Haig, six grandchildren, his dogs “Rerun” and “Topper” and his cat “Kiwi,” as well as his dear family and many friends survive Howard.
Howard's memorial service will take place on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. at River Christian Reformed Church, in Redlands.
Though we are all overcome with grief of his loss, we cannot help but smile when we think of Howard, he is still so much a part of our hearts. We love you forever. “You will be missed.”
