Ink & Shelter is a service that spreads hope by crafting and sending personalized, uplifting letters to anyone needing encouragement—yourself included. In a stressed-out world, we help you share joy via email or snail mail, with optional gifts.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on your chosen package:

Quick Email: A simple, uplifting email with no revisions, for a donation of any amount.

Thoughtful Email: A carefully crafted email with one revision, for $25.

Mailed Letter: A thoughtful letter with one revision, sent via snail mail, for $35.
Add gifts like t-shirts, candles, essential oils, bookmarks, or inspirational cards for an additional cost, listed in our request form.
How does the process work?
Fill out our request form with the recipient’s name (yes, it can be you!), contact details (email or mailing address), and why they need a boost. Choose your package and any gift add-ons, like our t-shirts with sayings like “Breathe Out, Brave On.” We’ll craft and send the letter within 3-5 business days.
Can I send a letter to myself?
Yes! Treat yourself to some self-love or motivation. Just enter your own contact details and share what kind of encouragement you need. Pair it with a t-shirt like “Self, You’re Still Enough” for an extra uplift.
What are the gift add-ons?
Enhance mailed letters with gifts like our t-shirts featuring sayings such as “Unplug, Hug Tight” or “Swipe Left on Stress,” plus bookmarks, inspirational cards, or custom trinkets. See gift options and prices in our request form.
Can I customize the letter?
Yes! You can provide the full text, key points, or themes for us to include. The Thoughtful Email and Mailed Letter packages include one revision to get it just right. The Quick Email package doesn’t offer revisions.
Who can I send a letter to?
Anyone who needs encouragement—yourself, friends, family, coworkers, or strangers. We also partner with organizations to reach communities like hospitals, shelters, or care homes.
How do you protect my privacy?
We prioritize privacy. Sender and recipient information is securely stored and used only to send the letter. We never share your data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I track my mailed letter?
We send a confirmation when your letter is mailed. Tracking isn’t available due to postal constraints, but we ensure every letter is sent with care.
